The EFT Resource Center was launched by Drs. Lisa Blum and Silvina Irwin, both licensed clinical psychologists with 20 years of combined experience working with families and couples, as well as individuals. Several years ago they began training in Emotionally Focused Therapy with Dr. Sue Johnson, the founder and innovator of EFT, and recognized world-wide relationship expert. The power of EFT to fundamentally change the nature of distressed couples’ relationships was so compelling, and had so much research evidence of its effectiveness -- they were inspired to pursue advanced training, supervision, and consultation using EFT.
The EFT Resource Center was conceived as a home for EFT education, events and workshops in their home communities and beyond. In collaboration with Illuminated Education, Drs. Irwin and Blum are approved by APA to offer CEU's for their workshops for psychologists, LCSWs, and MFT's.
